harlansmart wrote:Noticed driving blu car wasn't as fun, mostly due to seating, we tried to fit a bucket laying around but it was a bit big so 2low2c ripped apart the stock seat & about 30mins later I was rolling foamectomied, apart from a broadway mirror I would say to a stock MX5 this is the best mod I've done, gave probably 2" more leg room & the same improvement in headroom plus far increased hold... he left the front edge / bolster full n fat to lift the knees/legs up for even more room/comfort.

Blu car is now completely different, feel part of it & not bending at the neck like I think I was, waaay more comfy & way better hold.

Mod Factor: 9.9/10 (only a Broadway gets 10/10)

I disagree. I'd say it's only a 9. The Broadway gets 9.5 and the Elise seat gets 10 ;)

Tehehe hey Rob, seen any MX5's over there yet, perfect island vehicle surely?

What did I do to my Roadster today, well let's see, I didn't actually do anything at all, but today Chris kindly organised for bluey to be treated by way of miata maestro 2low2c to a new viscous lsd

Yeah nah.... Nothing on this Island :p In fact my Nissan Ponsonby tractor thing is too small for some sections due to flooding. I'll get myself an F150 shortly since my car is rooted and other guys are leaving in the near future. Parking is a nightmare though as is driving on the right hand side. I have worked out that to get through the flooding without it coming through my sills I just have to hit it at speed and hope I maintain enough speed to create a wake 8)

I'm going to have a heart attack when I get home and legally can go faster than 25mph

New door to glass seals. Best upgrade ever, no more water in the doors and look awesome too.

what fuel pump did you use? any issues with the high flow pump overwhelming your fuel pressure regulator at idle? its a known issue. especially with the walbro 255.

something slightly different..
over the weekend the suction cap for my GPS (that sticks to the windscreen) gave out so I got creative with some aluminum laying around and made this mount that slots into the sunvisor so that my gps is positioned conveniently above me when driving :)

now I am just getting busy giving it a sand before etch priming it and painting black :)

Gonna strap that ducting to the swaybar WOT?

Got any links to those issues with the fuel regs SLYDIT? Haven't really heard much about it. Would be interested to learn more.

I never use the sunvisor to be honest.... I am either wearing sunnies or can adjust my seating position slightly so the frame above the windscreen blocks the sun :)

Walbro 500 is written on the box and I got it from Jared at Teamjelly so he would be the one to ask about overwhelming the fuel pressure regulator I suppose

yep! something like that... will hopefully finish it today as I got sidetracked hunting down an oil leak which has turned out to be the inlet cam oil seal.

Keeping my fingers crossed that the crankshaft seal is OK!
