Taking the head off, any special tips?
So she blew the head gasket on the way to work the other morning. Im going to take the head off and get it skimmed/cleaned/new seals.
Any instructions/manuals/torque rating info sheets or anything ese handy? Or any tips before I stuff something up?

Before you pull it ,Do a compression test,That will tell if it is worth while doing just the head,or if has got really hot and stuffed the rings.
See it at work,Higher km cars needing a another head due to blown gasket,not checking the lower half,wacking a good head on only to find the car now burns oil as the rings were tired and the head has boosted compression.
Get the head...crack tested,pressure tested skimmed and seals.
Why did it do the gasket go in the first place ?,they don't go for no reason,
