There are washers on the gearbox plugs?

That's news to me haha
Yea no leaks so far on mine (did engine, gearbox and diff a few months ago) just reused what was there (or none if there wasn't =P)

And that's using my inbuilt torque meter...
Coming up on 2years now & no leaks.

I'm not crazy, my mother had me tested.

Well that settles it then. As above the only leaks I've had on cars have been elsewhere and I've been re-using the parts after changes.
Oil change / seat swapping time tomorrow

well, I had a productive but unsuccessful afternoon.
finally took my seatbelt apart to try and re-tension it but sadly its simply past its use by date and the spring doesn't contain enough potential energy to retract well anymore.
I did however discover that the seatbelt mechanism itself is a pretty simple self contained unit, so before I go down to repco to buy a brand new one for $250 (BNT told me they don't stock seatbelts) I will instead visit some of the local wreckers and get one from them.
I was expecting some trickydick custom shaped doohickeys but it seems that the seatbelt has been replaced before as the bolts are imperial when I was expecting metric sized heads (and the fact that it didn't look like the OEM part pictures I had been researching)
I also cut my side skirts in half and will wrap and post them off tomorrow. I have heard China's customs are lax compared to NZ's but none-the-less I have been cleaning and scrubbing away as much of the road grime off them as I can.

I have a spare set of the seatbelts and associated bits from an NB wreck that I have been pulling apart. I would assume that the retracting mechanisim is the same, but you would need to check up on that. If so, you can have them for $50

Thank you very much for the offer but I belatedly noticed your post and earlier this morning I went down to a wreckers and bought a second hand one for $70.
bugger
Thank you very much for the offer anyhow.
amusingly, when I worked with the old belt last night, I reached the point of saying "meh, this is fubar, time for a new one" and so I gave the spring a few turns and reassembled it......
now, just to be a bastard, its working better.... so I am at a point of having a spare, but the old belt is working well enough for me to be a lazy bugger and put off replacing it for the moment. heh.
I will still have to do it, but am considering just waiting until warrant time and see what the testing guy says.

Right, 6 Speed is in thanks to my Dad and especially Cole.
The gearing suits the 1600 perfect, however I broke some of the exhaust bolts which means LOUD....
Also got my seat in, looks nice Ilove it.
Comfortable, low, hugging. And Tan.
