Here's a challenge.
Has anyone heard of an "Iso Griffo Rivolta" and where it might be in
Auckland ?

I vaguely remember it, an Italian 'supercar' with, I think, a Chev or Chrysler
V8.

Interesting what you find out! Apparently they produced the Isetta. It was
built under license to Iso Rivolta by BMW. I always thought the Isetta was
purely BMW with an Italian sounding name.
I copied this fromthe web:
The Grifo was introduced in 1964 as the sport version of the GT. The body
was again designed by Bertone but in two seater form. In 1968, a new version
of Grifo was introduced with a larger 7 liter engine giving stunning
performance. The body was characterized by a huge air intake on the hood and
the "7 liter" badge. An even faster version of the car based on the same
mechanics was produced by Bizzarrini.

I think you're mixing your metaphors there; the Grifo and the Rivolta were
separate models from the same Italian stable with yank V8s. An Iso Lele was
for sale at Gracious Motors a few years back when they were still in
operation in Mt Eden Rd. Grifos had engines of up to 7.7 litres and carried
four people in comfort at up to 170 mph.

A similar car to the Gordon Keeble, in fact also styled by Bertone and using
the same engine, the 327 Chevrolet. From about the same era.
Michael Clark Motors had one for sale years ago. I think Len Southward might
have one, not sure, I have no idea who in Auckland might have one
the same engine, the 327 Chevrolet. From about the same era.
