Not sure about down your way, but

I have a contact who does a lot of the show cars (really nice work), and can probally get it down a bit cheaper than the normal panel and paint places - unfortuantly it is in Auckland. If you are willing to make the trip you can save some $$$ (even more if you are happy to strip and pop back together again - I'm more than happy to help for a weekend)

Ive had about 1/2 of my car re-sprayed when somebody smashed into the side of me. Cost around about $500 (here in Auckland) as part of all the other repairs being done

Not to argue with Glen (Classic red) ... but seriously, what colours do you think would look fantastic on a MX5?

Not talking classic red vs BRG etc - (after all its well established that Silver is the best factory colour) but after market colours.

Personally I think that Orange with Black would be awesome.

Your thoughts ....

I like the yellow thats on the Mazda 323 SP20 hatch..i dont like any of the yellows that came on the J spec cars as its too washed out of a colour.
Oh and i like the Metallic orange that was on that car in the uk that i linked to a while ago.

No, dont paint your MX-5 orange... your MX-5 will look really bad in orange... its a bad idea.

On the other hand, once I get the money to repaint my car, mine will look fantastic in orange. ( on the to-do list for over 5 years :) )

how much to paint MX5??any recomendations?

OK - so it will look horrid in orange.  I assume that adding black wheels to the orange car would also be a bad thing to do?

What Fletch is saying is... don't paint it orange as he plans to do it
one day, and having twin orange MX5s will be confusing.... :)

... actually Fletch has been planning to do this for almost 4 times as I
have been planning to get my supercharger installed. That's a loooong
time :)

HA! very good Sir........... I'm lucky I guess mine came with a very pro respray when imported, was evolution Orange now looks the part in Titanium, hey I guess that's why they make so many colours after all........each to his own, I wouldn't have looked twice at it if it was orange
