Hi guys was wondering if I olter the air flow meter (afm) by opening it up and turn the dial/cog anty clockwise a couple of notches wil that allow more air to get in ? Also if I do that the needle that moves dosent touch the strip that it's sapost to touch so can I bend that strip to alow that connection again (on idel only)? Reason y im wanting to do this is I want to put in some gtx injectors iv got. When I tride it with out altering anything it wouldn't start and I don't now y so I thort I'd try this but ask you guys first
PIC is stock AFM and on stock settings

Any reason you want to put in larger injectors? Are you going forced induction? I'm just going to say from the outset that no, your current plan won't work.

Wont work, biggest injectors you can get to idle on a stock ecu are 305cc, gtx ones are 360cc. Without an aftermarket ecu or piggyback you will not get it to run properly if at all

Nope, a gtx ecu is for a distributor not coilpacks.
Unless you want to blow up your motor i'd advise against trying to put more air into the motor without a fully programmable aftermarket ecu (e.g link).

there is ZERO point in bigger injectors on an mx.
they run PIG RICH even on stock injectors. you need to get it breathing better and leave the fuel alone. in fact my turbod car runs a leaner afr than factory NA tune.

i hate to break it to ya, but the B6 motor in the MX is no honda. they breathe like shit and the head is really restrictive. the only way to get any sort of power out of them is turbo. any NA mods are just pathetic and costly... if you want a better car then add a lightweight flywheel and 2.0-2.5" exhaust. maybe get some headers too if they come available but dont spend too much on them, youll need a heated O2 sensor if you do add headers. get your timing to 14 degrees and if your handy with a soldering iron you can change the clocking crystal in the ecu to 4.4Mhz from 4.0Mhz, this will lean the rich mixtures and remove the rev limit. I think don at autoway services does exchange ECU's with the crystal mod.
