1.6 Rear Calipers
Since I have shagged the 1.8 sport calipers (well one of them at least) I thought I would at least swap back to my 1.6 calipers, which only came off the car about 1 month ago after the last track day
Obviously I have done something to piss of the brake gods, because it seems that the pistons have seized in both of these. I cannot budge them for the life of me. I have had them disconnected from the brake lines, and the piston just will not budge, even with a bit of gentle persuasion with a hammer using an old pad sitting ontop of the piston.
Is there any other genius ways of getting the thing to budge?

2low2c beat me to it! And the rears ar way more expensive from a wrecker then the fronts. Its the rears that are more prone to seizing...Donovan wrote:Turns out not seized, just me being an idiot and having a spaz. 2low2c put me straight.
Don't push rear calipers in, take a 14mm bolt off the back of the caliper, and unwind the adjusting allen key screw for the hand brake, and the piston winds itself back in.
