For the normal coating I think it's $225, for the Extreme coating (supposedly you can touch it while the engine is going and I would believe it based on the normal coat) I think it's $550...

It made everything metallic in the engine bay touchable after a very hard drive once they were installed so the Extreme coat should make everything even cooler

You won't get a polished look with HPC.

With the extreme coating (definitely over kill) you can get black, and cast iron grey.

With the normal coating you can get polished finish though or the galvanised look as well as the 2 above. I believe you wont' get the heat stress colouring on the extractors either.

You learn something new every day. I wasn't aware there was a "polished" option available

you should not coat or wrap stainless steel headers because the added temp to the inside of the pipe will cause them to fatigue and crack faster and if they have been hpc coated you can not weld them so you have to buy new ones ,polishing will only last till first start up unless you are going to polish them after every drive. to remove the blueing of stainless steel go to a welding supplier ie boc and get so welding pickle it is what we use to remove the blueing after welding

Then for a WoF which I was happy to pass at Vehicle Testing, and now... listing it on Trade Me :(

Took my car for a non-wof non-reg'd run to get its final wheel alignment before cert (got it PERFECT), then took it to a dyno day at STM SpeedTech Motorsports.

Someone at dyno day took some pics of it.

Today I took Pepper out for a bloody good fanging with some pals from a club, and happened to win a trophy as one of the favourite cars of the day, and received an A'pexi turbo timer [for my engine project] as a prize!

Was a stellar day, and a big thanks to my uncle Mark for letting me borrow his wedsports wheels [DAYUMNN those tires are good!]

Pulled out the charcoal canister while trying to put other things back into the engine bay. Have a deadline of getting the car running again tomorrow night so I can get Cole to put the Frog Arms and sway bars in since I failed at doing it myself :(

http://www.mx5nutz.com/forum/index.php? ... =15120&hl= <-- best guide on how to remove the canister I've found to date.

Hahahaha Yeah, the wheels are a total pisstake. They look good so I can dig it. But I got the mx5, and I knew it is known as a gay car. So I figured, instead of trying to turn a girl into a dyke, I will turn a girl into barbie.

One day it will be beautiful in everyones eyes :) Work CR01's 280whp, front splitter. One day.

Doesn't matter what you do to them, someone is still going to think it is a gay car, on the Cannonball I passed a shitty old rusty Mitsi van with the V8 at half song, and had some guy hang out the window and yell at me to get a real car. If that wasn't the pot calling the kettle black.

When ever anyone has given me shit about "driving a ***'s car" I just give them a deadpan stare and coldly say "you have no idea how many hairdressers I had to kill to get this car"

I just think of it like yin and yang ... We get to drive fun cars but have to suffer the occasional insult... that's a price I can live with 8)

Kasey and I just finished putting in 24mm front and 16 mm rear sway bars in Wee1 (thanks Kasey :D ).

WOW, what a difference. the turn in is much quicker and the car feels considerably more precise in cornering.

Turn 5 at Hamptons should be a lot easier to get in to and carry speed through now!!

I dont think I appreciated how much of difference they would make.

Incidentally Autolign are the agents for Whiteline In NZ now. Stocks had nothing listed for MX5 sway bars and couldn't help....

24mm Front bar (2 way adjustable) with end links $295.00

16 mm Rear bar (3 way adjustable) no end links $316.00

Is this what you paid for them, I had someone trying to sell me a set, said they paid $495 for them, and would sell them to me for a mates rate of $350.

Got the cat converter replaced with a resonator. Turns out it was fairly blocked, seems to rev a bit easier now.
Also the temp sensor had actually broken off after the first drift day i went to.
