I would guess that another error some owners make (which we did) is zipping
and unzipping the window with the roof secured. This puts a huge strain on
the zip and can bugger it up (ours did). Always zip the zip with the roof
catches undone.

I also find having the windows opened slightly makes it a bit easier to
latch the top, especially when the rear window is zipped up.

Long in the tooth? Never! Last night a friend of mine in his late 70s
offered to sell me his Porsche 928GTS for an exorbitant amount of money.
When I said that I'd be sorry to see him sell his favourite car after all
this time he said, with a twinkle in his eye, 'well, we've still got my
wife's Mercedes and that's nearly as fast...' His wife is the same age...

Simon, please clarify "His wife is the same age": are you referring to
your friends age or the 928GST ??? :)

Hi I use a bit of foam insulation tube and have stitched a sleve on the side of a towel that it slides into. The rest of the towel then folds over the dop to protect it from the UV, it also helps to avoid scratches.

Colin
Suggest you EM David Bevin dlamb@xtra.co.nz and ask that you are out on the
Kapiti EM list. Recognize the partner's comments. I was allowed to buy an
MX5 in lieu of a Porsche. She is an Acct. Age wish you fit the demographics.

Yup agree with that we have one of those flotation sponge tubes from the
warehouse and it curves the window nicely
