DIY intake problem

Post by tehnzbrad » Mon Oct 21, 2013 7:53 pm

i extended my AFM loom so it can reach across the engine bay and mounted the AFM vertically so the air filter is pointing at the ground have the idle control valve hooked up, but its just one 90 degree elbow then the AFM (idle control is plumbed into the 90 degree bend). Anyway started it up idles good not lumpy or anything, then i slowly depressed the accelerator and at about 1500-2000rpm the revs just drop off and it almost stalls, my pugs are fine and i checked for vac leaks etc, does any one know what it could be? im assuming its the AFM being vertical? some one help?

My afm is vertical and runs fine. Check the wires you have made longer?

Oh sorry did you say it was pointing towards the ground? yeah then it could just be the weight of the flap making it not work correctly.
