Strange request, but does anyone on the forum know how to read Japanese or know of anyone that does.
Have bought a Jap import car, and it's AV system is throwing up what I think is an error message, but I have no idea what it is saying.

Perhaps yohr could ring University of Auckland Languages Dept and ask if someone there could tell you...... maybe pop into your local Sushi shop and ask someone behind the counter. Could even grab some lunch at the same time.

Sushi shops are run by Korean's, not Japanese folk

I guess Angreal translated already...
Here you go:
Press "OK" to enter sound only mode and screen will be off and save your battery life.

Oh well, time to start replacing parts I guess.

yup Fujiwara tofu shop (private use)
it's a private car opposed to registers as business category. the shop is likely a private own, so the car is.
