TRADEME

Post by chris » Tue Aug 20, 2013 8:44 am

Hi guys - I am going to post something two of you will not like.

Warrior and Snapfrozen.

Trademe Auctions are what they are - My old man is listing his roll/style/whatever bar at the moment and Warrior had the balls to throw in his own opinion.

A stylebar goes between the seatbelt towers. The roll/style/whatever bar that my old man has listed will not save you in a roll over, it will provide a bit more protection than nothing.

Also - if you are that worried about safety, I hope you have removed factory seats, put in some racing seats as well as a fully welded in cage.

If not - keep you opinions to yourself and stop destroying the chances for people to empty out their garage.

Does anyone else think this is rich coming from Chris? Keep your opinion to yourself?

What a joke.

You know questions don't appear if you don't answer them

I just put a comment in the Q&A saying phone number given so will not show unanswered question or say they were being an idiot it doesn't matter.

And they weren't being rude or anything so whats the issue they raised a valid point

I have always had to answer the questions, I can't post a comment without answering the waiting question first.

I'll be relisting this tonight/tomorrow.

I still refuse to call this a stylebar. I will not be claiming it to be a roll bar either.

Old man's not impressed aye.

Because he figured the mx5 group were a little better than that.

Also - style bar mounts to the seatbelt mounts.

This is unnecessary Kieran.

Chris this is the LAST time I will say this. I had no idea this was you bar so how can your farther be un impressed with this forum and the people on it?

I don't think it is a roll bar. You don't have to agree with me.

Can we please just drop this? It really is a waste of time.

Lol he meant in polite terms that he didn't want to to be waiting around at the workshop much longer for me. Was my cue to hurry the eff up so he could go home.

Right, well I won't not defend myself because I am clearly an Ewarrior.. As per the other thread...

1. I commented on one of them as well. As far as I am concerned. If it cannot be homologated or confirmed by an engineer to survive an accident, it is a style bar. Forget mounting points, forget materials..

2. Where does this mount to? What grade hardware does it mount with? How many bolts, how deep, what kind of locking equipment is used for the nuts?

3. Not bagging you, or your old man out, but I feel it is false advertising. It's fucking chrome for christs sake. When's the last time you saw a chrome rollbar?

4. I have removed the factory seats. I have FIA aftermarket seats. I have the cage design for my car already drawn up. Simply waiting on funds. Now that I pass your requirements for caring about safety, my above comments are all completely valid.

If no one can confirm it is worth its weight in gold in a crash, it is for STYLE.
