sometimes life kicks you in the nuts

Post by MrGrey » Thu Aug 01, 2013 11:41 am

sigh, lost my job today.

my department has a new co-ordinator (he's been with the company less than 6 months and will say and do whatever it takes to get up the ranks) and him and myself since his promotion have not really seen eye to eye. Sadly I have always been an out spoken person and as the old saying goes if you stick your neck out too many times it will eventually get cut off.

I have been offered some work with one of the builders that I used to serve so at least I am not totally screwed but it still kind of sucks how things have turned out.

sometimes some people really suck :(

What are you specialised in?

If it is anything automotive related i can try help! Working with 450 car dealerships across the country has plenty of advantages.

Better yet, want my job? Im looking elsewhere too.

Lifes a cunt sometimes. But the best part about being knocked down is standing back up, giving life the finger and doing something better! :)

Bummer to hear that. I'm kind of outspoken too, and with a new boss who I regularly lock horns with. At least she has a sense of humour, I told her the other day that I think of her while I'm having sex, because it makes me last longer.

thanks for the comments everyone :)

things happen for a reason and I am a tin ass lucky bastard who always lands on his feet (don't you just hate pricks like me? ) and I start work doing carpentry stuff tomorrow.

thank you for the offer Ashleigh but my specialties are Industrial fabrication (all aspect of building fabrication), engineering (metalwork fabrication) and PC fixit stuff (MCSE, A+ hardware cert and bachelor of applied information systems) ...... but I am a noobie with automotive stuff. I just dove in headfirst when I bought my '5 about 6 months ago and although I have learned a lot, I still consider myself a n00b.

I figure this was needed, I was stagnating in my last job like an old man waiting for retirement age. Bring on the new challenges!.

Wow.

Sorry to hear that Mr.Grey, did they give you a reason for letting you go other than the coordinator doesn't like you?

I got stitched up and it was my word vs 2 junior co-ordinators. I was accused of swearing and yelling on the floor which is gross misconduct.

It wasn't in my favor that I was already on a prior warning for "hurting a team members feelings" (yes, I am serious)

such is life and every set back merely opens the door to new opportunities.

Hmm, maybe I should pop up there and abuse the fuck out of them, as a "random customer from Auckland"

That's tough bro :/ Unfortunately, bullying doesnt stop once you leave school, no one grows up.

Good luck with the search :)

Every male that has no clue about cars (most of the people in Auckland) think you are this cute, wee innocent thing driving a cute little jellybean :)

That must be a weird lifestyle. I don't know I'd do with all my extra money if I didn't spend it on or driving my car.

It sucks to hear you lost your job, but when it turns into a place you really don't want to be then it is best to move on anyway. Hopefully the new one keeps the $$ coming so you can spend more on the 5 :D

I'll never understand that, I think its awesome when a woman is interested in something that isn't 'the usual'.

Took lots of explaining. Clearly we had different hobbies!
