Hi All,

Skidfest Burnouts is back with a new home at Mt Smart Stadium. Open to all makes and models of cars the event promises an afternoon of tyre shredding, tyre popping action. To get amongst the smoke and action see below for all the important bits.

Scruitineering
...
All vehicles are welcome from your Mum’s front wheel drive 323 to your Dad’s new Monaro.
REGO & WOF is NOT REQUIRED but your car is expected to be safe. Some of the points the scrutineers will be looking for are below:

• Your vehicle must be structurally safe
• Wheels and wheel nuts tight & none missing
• Seatbelt working correctly
• Seat bolted in properly
• Secure battery
• Front Brakes
• Secure Fuel cap
• Firm Brake Pedal
• Steering Wheel secured
• Have nothing hanging / falling off it
• Safe for fire crew
• Scattershield / Blanket if it is a rotary
• A Bonnet (exceptions are go karts and the like)

You must have:

A helmet
A Bonnet
Long pants & closed in shoes

Scrutineering begins at 8am and finishes at 11.45 – You must be at the venue and have done scrutineering before then!

Judges will be looking for consistency of smoke, style of driving, presentation of vehicle and crowd response.
Each judge will give a score out of 10. (4 judges giving a total score of 40) plus an extra 5 points are gained if you pop a tyre, 10 points for popping both.
50 points could be awarded for a perfect burnout

These points are added up during the day, to give us an overall winner.

Classes:

V8 Muscle
Rotary N/A
Rotary Turbo
Piston N/A
Piston Turbo

The person who scores the most points overall will be Burnout King!

Spectator cost is $20 and will also get you into our Japanese Spec Car Show on the same day.
Spectator entrance and parking is via O’Rourke Road, Penrose, Auckland.
Parking is $5

There is no eftpos available at the gate or for parking

• NO alcohol, drugs or dogs permitted
• NO commercially prepared food / BBQ’s or chilli bins allowed (as per Mt Smart Venue conditions)

Its not all bad, cheaper parts because more people buying them and its always good to see what people do with MX5's rather than the usual 4wd height and daisys.

I dont think good performance parts will get cheaper since all that most are buying is cheap coils and cheaper end wheels.

Value might even go up since they will all get wrecked :lol:
