Hamilton accommodation

Post by Grant » Wed Sep 21, 2005 9:11 am

Could someone in the Hamilton area give me the names of some motels close to
The Base shopping centre please. I intend tagging along with the Hamilton
people to the record attempt so staying in a motel close to the departure
point makes sense.

Thanks,

Grant in sunny Blenheim.

Coming back from the Airport this morning, we spotted
a red NC on a transporter...
The red was definitly a stand out compared to the
other shoe boxes on the transporter!
The bulgy wheel arches look much less pronounced in
the flesh, which is a good thing. I wasnt allowed to
follow the transporter to its final destination so
youll just have to start poking around the back of
your auckland mazda dealers and you may see one
getting groomed and prepped for sale...

Try Quantum Lodge in Hamilton, or the Kingsgate, which is a kilometre south
on the TeRapa straight.

I would suggest Quantum lodge as well. It is only about 100m from "the base"
www.quantumlodge.co.nz
It is only about a year old so it shouldn't be too shabby.

Thanks for all the replies and suggestions. Quantum Lodge certaily looks
good. However, a generous Hamilton MX5er has offered us a bed for the night.
Should be able to ensure we have good instructions on how to get to the
departure point. Unfortunately they won't be accompnying us to Auckland.
Thanks again,

Caryl and Grant.
