Rear axle retaining clip

Hi all

Has anyone ever replaced an outer CV joint and still has the old CV/axle
assembly. The reason I need it is that one of my rear axles had been
dissasembled (before I got it) and the retaining clip from the outer end of
the axle is missing.

Unfortunately the axle and CV are sold as a complete unit so the clip is not
available as a spare part as you are not supposed to be able to take them
apart. And of course the clip on the diff end, which is available, is a
different size and doesn't fit.

If you have an old outer CV that you want to sell or otherwise dispose of
and are in the North Shore/Auckland area can you please let me know.

Hi Euen,

I just happen to own and operate nzcv's in wellington.

We have spare everything for doing CV's and have numerous clips so if you
cant get one, give me the diameter of the axle and thickness of the clip and
im sure i can find you a new one to fit.
