Red MX5 With Gauges on the Bonnet

Hi

I was in Birkenhead yesterday (Saturday) and saw a tidy red MK1 MX5 with
chrome style bar and 2 chrome gauges mounted out on the bonnet. Is this a club
member? I'd like a closer look at the car. At first I was surprised to see the
gauges mounted out on the hood (and yes it sounds bad) but as they were chrome
they did look really good against the red. Gave it a bit of a retro/usa style.
So if someone knows this car I'd be keen for a closer look.

I saw him too, we both went into Supercheap in Wairau at the same time, didn't
ask him if he was in the club and don't think he had the sticker (that I could
see), it was a nice looking car tho

Were you able to see what the gauges were measuring?

Could you read them through the windscreen or did you have to get out of the
car?
