that extra boost doesn't allways make masses of extra HP, you will loose some
HP trying to drive the supercharger at higher boost levels, i've known for a
long time that the M45 is just to small, i had a bigger blower on a Mini Cooper
's' 30yrs ago, its basic engineering knolledge that you need a bigger pump to
safely have a bigger output without the problems that heat gives you, and thats
without belt slip, you need to go to a toothed belt to stop it, in the standard
Sebring setup the supercharger is spinning at 14000 rpm on full boost, i have
no idea what it is spinning at with all the different size pulleys that you
can use, a lot more obviously, and i find it interesting that it was mentioned
that two different tuners may have had differing ideas on set up, one that i
would go with, nice one thanks Gary.
I know of only one M2 in NZ that has a Sebring and he has not had the problems
i hear about, there are installers and installers i guess!
