I have put online some plots of my data logs from the trip to Taupo:
http://www.voyager.co.nz/~karlmw/car/car.htm
I used the GPS to record the trip there & back, and speed & path around the
track.
I also recorded the temperature in the boot of my car to see how hot it got
on a decent duration drive - it looks like heating from the sun is more
signficant than heating from the exhaust - it got hottest (about 38degrees
C) when we were stopped for lunch. About 32 degrees C while driving. The
floor of the boot, however, peaked at over 60 degrees C when doing laps of
the track.

I would suggest it wasnt so much heating by the sun, but an exhaust
heat-soaked metalwork that was no longer receiving a cooling wind from
the cars movement.
Or more likely, a combination of both...
An interesting experiment for sure, but I'm not sure what you can do
with the data...
Fletch.

Greetings, someone I believe in the MX5 list has got the 'worm' KAK on their
computer- I had a 'clean' computer until this morning-but after opening my
INMAIL and reading the MX5 mail noticed it.Comes up in the taskbar as
'driver error'. Not really a problem -but more of a nuisance! Please can you
check and advise accordingly- I do not know how else I got it!
regards Trevor Henderson-Christchurch.

Not me. This can be dealt with either by an up to date anti-virus product,
or by making sure you have all the Microsoft updates from their update site.
I don't think it came from the list though, because infected emails usually
generate a message in Outlook that there is an unsafe Active-X component in
the infected email. (Thats once you have the updates in place). I haven't
seen any of these on mail from the list.
