First a big thx to all who offered input recently on this subject.
Given wet weather performance is an important consideration for me, I've
narrowed down my selection to Dunlop FM901s, Bridgestone Grid IIs, or
Falkin 502s.
The Bridgestone dealer claims the Dunlops are noisy, the Dunlop dealer
claims the Bridgestones are comparitively dated technology and of course
the Falkin dealer claims his tire is the best all around tire of the three
especially given NZ's roads (any of this sound familar???).
Can anyone offer some knowledgeable input? (I'm even open to subjective
opinion on these or other tires).
PS: I need to make a decision by tomorrow morning before taking a long
and potentially wet trip up to the Bay of Islands tomorrow afternoon (my
current treads are borderline safe).
PSS: Noticed a lot of Stateside MX5rs stick 195/55/14s (my wheel size) on
their cars but this tire size isn't readily available down here. Anyone
know about availabilty (and costs) down here?
Thx in advance
Bill

I've had the Falken Ziex ZE-502 on my car.
I liked them. I drive fairly hard, and got about 35-40,000 km on them.
Sorry, haven't tried the others, so I cant compare.
Fletch.
