Hi everyone,
wondering if anyone can give some advise.
I'm trying to fit a new clutch to my car,( had one fitted about 4 months ago
by a shop and have had it back 2 or 3 times since...the noises worry
me...think it's the "new" bearing they fitted?)
I'm following the guidelines in the enthusiests manuel and so far
erverythings gone fine.
I'm now ready to pull the gearbox out. I'm by myself and have one of those
small 2 ton trolley jacks, but I'm kind of worried that the whole thing will
topple over the moment I get it slightly clear of the engine. And it's proving
to be pretty hard to get it to come straight out.
Does anyone have any idea of where abouts the point of balance is for the
gearbox so's at least I can try and have the jack positioned reasonably well.
The jack has such a small head on it, it offers very little lateral support to
whatever it's lifting.
Any help much appreciated as I really dont want to have to reassemble the car
just to have to dismantle it all again later.
Thanks Mike
