GTX or RX7 LSD in an MX5?

Does anyone have any experience of putting either a GTX or RX7 LSD in an
MX5. I'm looking for a Torsen LSD out of an MX5 but wonder if I'm going to
find one. A GTX or RX7 diff may be an alternative if they can be fitted.

How many horsepower are you going for Clive ?
Why do you feel the need for a new diff.

84 to 88 RX7 clutch LSDs fit according to randy stocker

There are torsens available from RX7s, but not sure which years sorry.

Certification will be required for a WOF if nonstandard diff fitted. Ian

true?? how would they know? The diff housing is identical on the 1.8s -
you only need replace the innards. It would be impossible to tell unless
you removed the halfshafts.

Or is this the "non standard equipment requires certification" for insurance
purposes?

Not sure of the eventual hp. Aiming at 8psi intercooled sc. Current unit
is an open diff. Looking for a LSD primarily to stop single wheel spin.
