you're welcome to pick Gary's G-Tech up from me@work - you could run a 0-100
test and a 400m speed test and check the results with a similar car - you
should drive both (or the other owner should) so the results are similar. I
would like to run some tests vs an MR2 when a friend comes up from
Wellington next week though.
TIP: Do the 400m test away from speed cameras and police cars...
Measures HP also, but you need the weight of the car, and it doesn't appear
very accurate unless you do lots of runs and average them.
If you bring your car to an event, I'm sure Fletcher or myself wouldn't mind
checking your timing - Fletch is the expert, but I have a timing light and
have used it once... Next Northern event is on 28th - I should be there.
Fletch has also promised to write a short article on the crank key problem
on earlier MXs and how to test for it, so this might be useful to you...
