Suspension problem????

Post by Graeme Naisbitt » Mon Dec 30, 2002 6:18 pm

Hmmmm...

Nice sunny day, so I thought I'd give my baby a good wash and wax. Haven't
driven her for a week or so, she's been parked under a tree, yuck.. Anyway,
while polishing away, I stood back to admire the gleam and noticed that the
front of the car dips down alarmingly, i.e. about a half/inch clearance to
the top of the front wheel arch (standard rims/tyres), and large gap at the
rear. Walking to the other side, this seemed to be about right. The car
was parked on an incline, our driveway... But I don't think that should
make it as bad as this??? What do the suspension experts think? Is this
normal or is my baby in need of swaybars, shocks and springs =0

You could also look to see if the springs are where they should be. Mine had
had it's springs changed around from the front to the back to give it that
wedge shape nose dawn look. I changed mine around and it now looks normal.

I'll get it on level ground tommorow. I'm sure the springs are the right
way around though, It's always looked even before. Perhaps I've never
really looked at it on the incline of the driveway before but I don't
remember having seen the difference look so pronounced! Hoping everythings
ok with it anyway, can't really afford to spend the cash a the moment!

Happy New Year everyone!!
