Dunlop Tyres (was Potential puchase)

Post by zorruno » Sat Oct 19, 2002 4:31 pm

no offence intended - I'm sure the tyres are fine. that's why it was
preceded with the warning and followed by a ;)

But don't you just hate it when you go to buy a car & they've just put new
tyres on it? i.e. something you may not have chosen for yourself. It
happened with both my last 2 cars - both from dealers.

There are other annoying stories about dealers taking out roll bars, wind
blockers & brace bars from imports to make them look 'factory'. What a
waste.

I have what you presumably consider to be "indecent" Dunlop tyres and have
had them for over 12 months (15K) with wear not obvious. I can still drive
the windy bits in such a fashion that most followers give up after a few
bends and I have never felt unsafe. Believe me I am pretty "chicken"
compared to many!
