Hey Clive, what happened to the idea of a turbo AND a blower? Now that would be damn interesting. If you want an idea of what size turbo to use with the blower, search the net for info on the kit made by HKS that adds a turbo to the supercharged Toyota Levin/Trueno.
I seem to remember a posting to this list a while ago, by a chap with an identical name to you, telling us that the supercharger he had fitted was more than enough for what he needed. Mmmmm...power corrupts methinks!!.

I recall reading that RollsRoyce would never give performance figuresToo much power is just about enough!
for their products and when asked the power output of a given model
would say "enough." When the Mulsanne Turbo came out they described
its power output as "More than enough."
I recall that its top speed is artificially limited to protect the
tyres - they are heavy brutes. Saw one yesterday...

re[2]: What turbo?
I seem to recall that the word that Rolls Royce used was "adequate" - a bit
more genteel than "enough" so better suited to the market segment they were
in (and presumably still are).

re[2]: What turbo?
6750cc Rolls Royce V8 Turbo gave 320bhp from 1982.Uprated to 360bhp in 1991.The "S" model gave 400bhp in 1994.Something like 625Nm torque @ 1900rpm provided accelleration times of 0-60mph in 6.2sec. and a top speed of 152 mph!In a 4speed Automatic pushing 2.5 tonne!!!
A 200rwhp (150rwkw)MX-5 should absolutely scream away from any blue and white Commodores that may or may not be in pursuit...(lol) not to mention many Skylines, Civics/Integras , Subarus , XR8's & HSV's
But isn't that much horsepower defeating the design and intentions of the MX-5?You'll be braking earlier and cornering at similar speeds to many other machines and on a long journey stop more often for fuel...I guess its the rush you feel from awesome accelleration that inspires the need 4 spectacular power

Who was that man? He obviously didn't know what he was talking about.
