Once an MX 5 Owner, always - - - - - -

Post by MX5PWR » Sun Jul 28, 2002 7:37 pm

My wife has just spent a week on holiday in Rarotonga, and guess what the
rental car she hired was. A BRG MX5. The roof, when she finally got it up as
it was rusted in place, leaked like a sieve, the door sills were full of
water and the boot was not much better. But who cares when you are on
holiday on a Pacific Island.
What joy, driving with the top down with the wind in your hair looking out
over the reef.

When she returned the car and suggested to the rental car people that they
try and clear the drain holes in the sills and by the rain rail she was told
"but it doesn't rain in Raro"!!!

If you haven't been to Raro, it is 32km right around the Island and the
speed limit is 40, your drivers licence costs $10 including a colour photo.

If you saw the Havoc and News Boy programme on Raro where News Boy hired an
MX 5 and was promptly told by Havoc that it was "a Gay car", don't take any
notice. Go to Rarotonga, hire an MX 5 and forget the World, it is the only
vice really worth having!!!

Ooooooooops, sorry vicks, I wasn't trying to be a smart alec at all. If I
offended you I am sorry and will refrain from posting anything else on the
email list in future in case it is taken out of context.
