door adjustment

My nice white 92 has a rattle caused by the drivers door not closing firmly
enough . Can I adjust this with just normal kiwi skills and tools ?
Any hints appreciated.
And by the way as well as white ones being naturally good looking the std
number plate looks quite good being white with black just like the car.
