My black paintjob has many superficial scratches here and there, so thought I
would try one of the coloured polishes, and chose Turtle brand @ $25. I think
it is fair to say it make no difference whatsoever. Anyone found anything
better? I have seen the Maguires range which is pretty pricey and looks like
you have to buy about three different products to do the job- any experiences
out there? I'm a bit shy of cutting compounds as the last time I used one I
got a bit carried away with the elbow grease and polished through to the
undercoat...

I tried the Turtle brand too, not much difference in my opinion either but
we do have to remember, we bought a whole bottle of it - plus a lipstick
type thing to use. Perhaps we should use all of it on a regular basis before
we dismiss it completely - and hey for $25, at least we tried!

The plastic nose cone on my JB gets streaky when washed. Musta lived in the sun a lot - obviously before it arrived in Auckland - and the only way I have found of keeping it presentable is Turtle wax coloured polish. Gotta do it after every wash though and that means after every burn-up in the country 'cos of all the suicidal bugs we have down here.
