New Girl on the block

Post by Chrissy & Tony Hoys » Fri Jan 04, 2002 12:00 pm

Hi list
My name is Chrissy and I am new to the list as well as
driving MX5's. I have just bought myself a 1990 model
and am loving every minute of being in it, I even got
a wave from someone in a red MX5 on my way to work
yesterday! If there are any tips and pointers I should
know about, please feel free to pass them on
to me.
Thanks everyone
Chrissy

Drive with the top down a LOT. As long as you keep the speed above
80kph the rain doesn't get in...

Hey Mark, must be something wrong with your car. I don't get any rain in at
much over 40 kph so long as the side windows are up as well. Agree about
the top staying down all the time, although Colin Partington (you out there
Colin?) has a good story about when the top really MUST be kept up in bad
weather. Something to do with hail on a trip over the Rimutaka Hill I seem
to recall.

Hi
I am looking forward to trying out this keeping dry thing, but hey now that
the sun is out - we want it to stay yeah?
Thanks for all the welcomes I am feeling at home already.
There is a silver MX5 driving around my town of Hawera and I noticed that
the TOP DOWN magazine had a new member from Hawera called Toni.
Toni, are you out there and is this you I have seen in Hawera?
Regards to all
Chrissy
