OK, I am interested in getting a nice full body kit and am interested to hear
from other club members who have body kits.
Nigel sent me a couple of pics but neither are quite what I'm looking for.
Anyone got any other body kits available in NZ or Aussie?
Ross, didn't u say you were able to get some once? an aerotech kit?
Any help would be much appreciated
Sorry I didn't get a chance to get in contact with you Gyde, things got rather
hectic.

There are quite a few mx5 bodykits around these days. Its a big difference from a few years back when you could only get two or three.
the ones I know of are:
AEROTECH- a bit boring looking and I have had bad dealings with them in the past (poor service and crap quality fibreglassing) sold at Aerotech in christchurch and Mag & spoiler in Hamilton.
VEILSIDE- totally outrageous looking, but now that people have grafted veilside kits onto everything on four wheels they are now outrageously common. The origional kits are Japanese, therefore outrageously expensive, but every second spoiler shop has a knock off version at considerably less.
AUTOWAY services (Hamilton)- Don has two kits which are mainly copies of Garage Vary and HKS Japanese kits. The Garage Vary kit was the one Mazdaspeed used on their mk1 racing mx5.
CYBER Sports-this is an Aussie made kit that is distributed by Mag &Spoiler in Hamilton. I haven't seen all of it in the flesh, but the nose cone looks damn good. Last I heard a club member from Taupo was getting the full kit fitted.
BIG SPOTLIGHT- I dont know the origins of this kit but its been around for quite a while and quite a few places stock it. Its got the nose cone with large spotlight pods either side of the air intake. It also comes with wheel arch flares (which I had installed on my old car) and a lower rear bumper.
RACING BEAT- As seen on Ray's yellow and red supercharged beasts. Nicely integrated kits, but as they come from the States they're twice as much as a jap rip-off kit.
RE-AMEMIYA - I don't know where to get these kits in NZ. If I did I would buy one straight away as they are my all time favorite. The $2k cost of getting a nosecone from Japan means it ain't likely to happen any time soon.
STANDARD- Although its almost impossible to track down new front and rear factory lower lip spoilers, Ross at Mx5Mart has fibreglass copies which look really good when colour matched to the car along with the door sills.
BOMEX- another Japanese company that has two versions for the mk1 which are a bit strange, and and awesome mk2 kit
Thats about all I can remember at present. A favorite bodykit website of mine you might want to check out is www.buethe-motorsports.com which has an awesome range of kits
including their specialty kit which is mostly a modified Monster Miata kit.
