I remember reading an article in some Aussie mag years ago about the very common practice of braking into mx5s to steal the much prized factory Momo steering wheels. There were even said to be cases where the thieving scum hacksawed through the hardtops mushroom bolts in order to get the roof off and gain access to the wheel.
