Keen. Perhaps a day cruise on Saturday/Sunday? Or a night cruise like when we went out to Bethells and around up to Albany.

Yeah I'm keen either way. Could do a dinner meet at Carl's Jr. like we did last time then go for a cruise out west? I'm out this weekend but what if we make it Saturday the 7th of April?

Say if we meet at Carl's Jr. at 6.30-7?

Just a suggestion...

I dont know anyone in NZ with a Miata....

My Roadsters keen if I can find the time. Where were you thinking to cruise/drive? Depending on when I finish work I dont think I can come to Carls but I can drive after.

Also on another note, In a weekend maybe renting out the Skidpan for a twilight session with 10 or so MX5s? $460 for 2 hours and we could do some Gymkhana/ Drifting? Anyone interested?

stink, can't do the 7th otherwise I am keen as for another fang.

A gymkhana / skid pan fest would be a real blast!!! Sign me up, might even convince the wife to have a go in her silver one....

Skid pan sounds fun, dunno if I can afford that kind of stuff at the moment until a couple of things are sorted.

Miata just rolls of the tongue so nicely though! We could go for a longer drive, maybe do the SH16 loop up through to Warkworth via Woodcocks road? Or Peak road via Helensville?

I would be keen but even if i had that kinda money it would be gone within seconds

We can make a second meeting point if people cant make it to Carls Jr

Saturday 7th
- 7pm Carls Jr
- 9pm if we are cruising west maybe Swanson Train Station carpark or something

Roadster is classier, I associate "Miata" With bad things from America

Skidpan would be about $40 each if we got 10 or more people, All you would need is a motorbike helmet and some sort of roll protection.

Also it does nothing to your tires except polish them.

You have to say Roadster like the Japanese do and then its classy :D

I have been on the skidpan for the entire day and didnt lose a mm of tread, I was Drifting too.

Even my mate doing this didnt lose any tread.

2 hours, 10 cars. that is a max of 12 mins driving each

Sounds awefully low

But yes dead keen for a cruise, currently have my car all legal and a full tank of gas

MX5>Roadster>Miata

That is why i wanted a NZ new one but settled cause mine was so cheap

Thats why I was thinking Gymkhana First the switch it up with a mini track and more than one car but that would only really work drifting.

Years ago the club used to have regular gymkhanas on grass and tarseal. Unfortunately this doesn't happen much anymore...
I can organise a seperate class for MX5's within the Auckland Car Club when they do thier gynkhana days...but this is only though the summer.

I'd LOVE to have a go on a grass karna! I did one once when I was about 17 with my mate's dad's hotrod club, sooo much fun.
