Low Fuel Light?

Post by broomfish » Tue Jul 13, 2010 10:51 am

Does anyone know if my NA8C has a low fuel light?
on the same subject, there looks to be a light above the fuel gauge which has never come on.
ANy ideas that that is?

Low Fuel Light?

Post by LilRay.Sun » Tue Jul 13, 2010 1:33 pm

Hi,

NA's don't have a low fuel light, but as a guide I can get away with the needle being slightly under the "E" before having to refill (think this leaves about 5 litres).

The "light" above the fuel gauge - can anyone correct me on this actually being the defrost light for a hardtop rear glass demister??

That is exactly my understanding as well.
There is a NO Low Fuel Light and the light above the gage is for rear defroster, if you have one.

If anyone wants to add a low fuel light I have 2 circuits that work. I put mine into the fuel gauge, but it is easy to add a circuit and put a led on the steering clamshell. (saves taking the instrument panel out)
PM me with email address.
