B6 Turbo sale?
Would anyone know the going rate for a 1991 B6 Greddy turbo engine?
Done 135,000kms but has been rebuilt before the turbo install.
Excellent working order and good for 250 hp at the flywheel.
I am planning on selling my turboed engine set up..... for my new project.....

what is it?
Ok, Basically the core engine of which, further details below.
*Block has had new shells, seals waterpump and a clean up of mating/sealing surfaces.
*Head has had massive amounts of work done to the ports, inlet manifold 4mm oversized textured and portmatched, 5 angle valve cut and unshrouding of the valves etc....JDM cams, plus full top end reseal (head gasket, camseals, valve stem seals etc). ( you will need to supply own 1.6 coils and leads)
*Dual feed fuel rail (you will need to source own injectors to suit intended power output).
*Greddy manifold ( with relief cuts on flange) and TD04h 15g turbo+ divorced gas dump pipe, upgraded mounting hardware with Nord loc fasteners, oil in and return to the tapped sump modification.
The ideal buyer would swap out there engine and bolt on all ancillaries (powersteering pump, alternator etc) from their engine, chose the injectors and how they would like to manage the engine!
The prepping and R&D has been done.

sale?
Actually this is looking like a sale Thread, so I will shift it to a classified if it goes that way.
I am just interested to see what it is worth first.
Thanks, any input will not be taken negatively.

...Now a classified
Thanks for that KiwiPete, sounds like a grunty sports bike project to me!
I have popped the engine in the classified section just now,
I guess it is all on now! open for business
Only serious offers please.
The engine is still in the car for demonstration purposes, if needed.

RE: WTF?
I didn't like your "pushing" attitude Kiwipete, this was a post to enquire about what it would be worth..... to those others with similar turboed set ups.
Thus the reason for the WTF.
This is not just a small.......motor we are dealing with is it?
Sorry to all others stumbling onto this thread

B6 Turbo sale?
Mate... Habanen
As the Stranglers said.... Get a Grip son!
It is a "small engine" not a V8!! Sounds like a good one though.. didn't like my "pushie attitude"... mate you are priceless..... I was merely asking yoou for what you anted... YOU are selling it... and therefore YOU name the price.. I don't think an apology is needed... no we all know your price which I think IMHO is a tad too high... I would love it in my MX5 but can't justify your price...
Sheesh! Ever sold anything before? You need the confidence to say hat you want for things, not get others to lavish praise on you for the engine.. I was a serious buyer.. just a little too much.. if there's room for negotiation I still may be a buyer... don't get your knickers in a knot!

Thread Locked - no need for further discussions on the subject. Virtual Beer passed to all.
For future reference:
1. Thanks for moving the forsale item to classifieds Habanero666. As mentioned before I am happy if people post to the forum and discuss their items for sale, but please place the items in the classifieds asap (preferably first)
2. I don't have any issue with people posting stuff for sale with no price publicly listed. If you are after 'offers', you just need to state that (as long as the item description is detailed enough). You may get way out replies, or no replies at all, but there is no problem with doing so. Private messaging is also a good way of discussing possible price deals. Remember that sometimes people genuinely have 'no idea whatsoever' how much something might be worth to someone else.
3. Note all that if you didn't know already - there is a comment feature in the classifieds section - if you post a comment on an Ad, the ad owner and all other previous commenters will be notified by email. This is a great way to discuss specific ads, and I'll try and make it a more prominent feature in the future.
cheers
