Hello all,

Well, as of Sunday I have joined the MX5, convertible, rear wheel drive and pop-up headlight clubs all at once!

Was previously looking to buy a Celica, and had taken several examples for a test drive but something didn't quite feel right.

But cruising in the MX5 with the top down on winding roads made me realise I had been looking at the wrong car.

The '5 is definately the car for me!

Thanks for reading this. I'm keen to learn more so I hope this forum will be very informative. Cheers.

Welcome to the fold, and I'm sure you are glad that you went for those test drives...

I wanted an MX5 years before I bought mine - My ex-girlfriend had bought one after we had broken up (she new I wanted one), and I test drove it a few times... I had to save up after that.

Any questions, ask away - there are plenty of helpful people here.

cheers

PS - Funnily enough, for those who believe in stereotypes... she was (still is) a hairdresser...

Are any of you going to Paeroa tomorrow for the Vintage Car Fest?
