blower housing foam
My 1998 NZ-new NB automatic arrived here pretty pickled by nicotine. After much scrubbing and a big service there is still something that needs renewing and that is the foam in the fan housing! The fan itself was pretty dirty, so what I can see from its foam square behind the glovebox, it's pretty dirty too! Has anyone ever changed this and would you mind sharing with me details of what kind of foam, where you bought it, and how it was attached? That would be so nice, as googling hasn't brought up much except a pic of the housing. I plan to ask the guys at the garage to drop the blower housing out for me. (64 years young gal, can't do it meself) do the foam change over myself and use their nimble bodies and fingers to put it all back together. But I need to be ready first and that's where your help would be invaluable. Thanks very much!!
