NB6C Flywheel/Clutch?

Post by VandilFish » Thu Jan 21, 2021 12:00 am

I need to replace my clutch on my 1999 NB6C but I'm not sure what flywheel it uses, in turn not sure what clutch I need.
Wanting to go HD Clutch so any recommendations would be appreciated!.

Also any other info you may have about NB6C's as there isn't a whole lot on the internet about them.

Cheers!!

I would think the same as the NA6 as the engine is basically the same. I had my clutch replaced by Garage 5 in Chch with a heavier duty one last month.

Yeah well that's what I thought but I've been seeing mixed things online so I honestly have no idea now. and I've had to use a lot of 1.8 parts on the motor. So really hoping someone here actually has a answer for me haha

I'm thinking maybe it has it's own different flywheel? probably the same as a NA6CE? I got no idea

The NB6 engine has a different flywheel to the NA6, and consequently a different clutch.
Broomfish Automotive Parts have a stock Exedy clutch for $265 or a heavy duty version for $605.

Yeah I actually spoke to Peter Lee from Broomfish to see if he could get a Heavy duty in, wasn't expecting that much of a jump in price. I need to figure out how I'm going to get my flywheel skimmed the same day or wait until I can find another one to get skimmed before hand.

Apparently The NA6CE(not to be mistaken with a NA6) does have the same flywheel as a NB6C.
