Coil upgrade

Post by Teamjelly » Tue Nov 29, 2016 8:23 pm

Decided to give the old Girl a bit of a horsepower injection as she's been gathering dust in the corner of the workshop unloved for the past few months.
So installed a fully forged BP 1800 engine
Have upgraded the coils to a set of brand new LS-2 Coil per cylinder
Added an AEM Water Methanol Injection system - and upgraded the MEgasquirt MAP sensor to a 4 bar one in anticipation of 25psi.

Hoping for around 350-360hp at the wheels - which should be a bit of fun - and push the venerable 6 speed gearbox to the limits.

No worries though - as are doing an adaptor to fit the Rx7 Series 6-8 - 5 speed box to the MX5 housing - so that should be able to handle the power no problems.
