CD workshop manuals...
Has anyone personal knowledge of these....?
I recently bought a car but got no manuals with it (as usual). The only manuals I have located so far are the Haynes series at about $55-00 at Supercheap etc.
I see Ebay (UK) have a number of sellers sending out CD versions at about 7 or 8 bucks NZ, no doubt plus postage to Godzone. The idea of printing out the relevant page to get oil all over in the garage appeals to me.
Before I send off my hard-earned, has anyone got one of these and are they acceptable for the price ? The advertising seems to be pretty "upfront" so I am assuing they are not pirated copies.

CD workshop manuals...
Hey Bazza it's Gazza
Yup I got one for my NB, if you get the NA one it just might come with a copy of the Haynes manual on it (see the link below). IMHO great value. Lots of pictures and info. I got mine from ebay through a guy called MX5alive
http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQfgtpZ1QQfrp ... sZmx5alive
fast delivery no problems. The info is great but I must admit I have not tried to use it for a car repair.
Cheers

Gaz,
Thanks for your quick reply....like you the last thing I want is to have to refer to it ever again, but I like looking at the pictures.........
I'll try and locate the guy you referred to and give him my business as well.
I got the tip-off from a guy on a UK forum otherwise I wouldn't be aware of the CD's at all.
Happy motoring........

I've just asked "Would I be able to print pages off the CD to use when working on the carr? thanks David" on #300036547123. As I've struck pdf's which won't allow pages to be printed before.

Maybe it's because I've got an IMAC. But I recently discovered some pdf's I've bought don't allow printing
.
I will try them at work tomorrow to see if they're printable with Windows.

Re: CD workshop manuals...
It is nothing to do with the OS, it is the program you use to print with. PDFs can have digital rights management tags in them that say 'can't print', 'can't copy text' etc. It is up to the program that views them whether it obeys them or not.spotz wrote:Maybe it's because I've got an IMAC. The adobe acrobat reader brand prog does, many other free pdf readers don't. The default reader on my OS of choice (Fedora) has a tick box that says 'obey DRM' yes/no...
cheers
