Cold Running

Hello folks... this forum looks really great!!

I am asking the same quuestion re cold running as I asked via email because I caught the end of the old forum. My 89 120k NA starts ok when cold... mostly! But after a couple of minutes it bogs down and almost sounds flooded. It often stalls in this question and then is a b**ch to restart. Once warm it runs like a dream. It has been suggested that its a damaged crank and I tend to think this could be the case, however has anyone else had this symptom and had another problem instead?
