Soft top fitters

Post by WideOpenThrottle » Tue Jul 01, 2014 10:22 am

Insurance needs quotes on replacing our slashed soft top so has anybody in AK had one done rececently and who does them now?

I know Trottskies do them for $1100.00 + gst supplied & fitted with heated rear window.

Cheers

Purely intrigued, as I work within insurance myself, we have written several soft topped cars with no request for the cost of replacement.

Just an interesting thing for one company to do.

Well, we have lodged the claim so while we are waiting on word from them I thought to get quotes would be the logical next step!

Vinyl, not original manufacture but was a good quality one without heated window that we bought off a guy who worked from home in West Harbour a few years ago [via TradeMe]

Ooh! Did the heater work? I'd love to get mine going. Don't know how to wire it in.

It didn't have the element...not that we really missed it but hopefully will get a heated one this time round.I'd say to wire one in to an NA should be easy enough...earth one side of the element,12volts to the other via a wire.switch and fuse that comes on only when the ignition is on.
