It was quite funny just sitting on the sidelines watching "I don't give a fuck, but I'm going to reply, because deep down I really do care"Mr. Shine wrote:That was fun. I'm glad he seemed to take my point that replying while claiming he didn't care was backwards and that he was making an idiot of himself complaining about someone else complaining.chris wrote:Yes - the little battle/bitch that started when Siren made a comment regarding his personal opinion on another car.

That was siren676 who left.4A-GE wrote:Was that the guy who left after the supra wing thread?
Also stance kiddies are silly. You can't play with matchbox cars when their wheels are like that, either.
We're laughing at the guy who had a cry about Daniel being negative, then accused Daniel of crying and leaving over it, which wasn't really correct because it was more, "You want me to leave becaus I'm negative? Okay, bye."

Yeah I left the group because I'm tired of trying to reason with morons. I stated that a car didn't look like it was legal then someone bitched about me saying that.
The whole car "scene" is going to shit with people looking for instant fame while their car isn't in a condition to be on the road.
The government then brings in knee jerk rule changes to try combat the scene which in turn makes it harder for genuine enthusiasts to have a legal car.

Slydit, what was that you were saying about my 3/4 cage (as stated earlier in the thread) not being done in time?
sorry for the massive picture. It's big because I want to show Slydit how much better I am than him via the interwebs

So the plan after this Sunday is as follows..
Depending on how I find the ABS on track it's a possible removal, and re run with stainless lines
A new Link ECU will be going into the car, wiring will be as tucked and as basic as possible.
New paint on the inside (instead of my half assed job that I have at the moment)
New tires all round
New bushings all round
Depowered rack (the proper way instead of the budget way)
And hopefully some fibreglass/carbon fibre work too, if I can get my ass motivated enough.

Daniel 'I hear ya man.'
Chris I want to say I am loving this one... the only 'negative' for me, if you can call it a 'negative' is that I was REALLY loving the idea of the sub NZD 3000 racer & now we all know you're doubling (trebling) that budgetary concept.
FWIW: I was there ripping shit outta the PJCR & had zero no little none nada doubt the thing would be at Puke caged this weekend.... and with beautiful PURPLE accents no less haha love it Chris & love the no more frame scraping idea you'll be able to go anywhere in this thing & I wonder what it will weigh on the 2low2c scales I still reckon you can go into the 700's which will make it very nimble & fast at changing heading, it'll go good & gimme a txt if its ready I'll help taking it home later this arvo if you need ok maybe swing past Taka grab me after work 10/10

If your going to post a massive pic at least make it in focus
Bar looks pretty sturdy, will be keen to check head clearance for whenever I get around to having one made up.
Will admit I thought you were going all out and getting a 6 point full cage when you first started talking about it.

Haha I know! I am not a photographer by any stretch! Sorry!
I pointed out early on in the thread that it will be a 3/4 cage (half welded cage with bolt in door bars) until I get my authority card
44mm thick main hoop
Feel free to check headroom/clearance on the track day =]
