So.. Now I have another MX5 I figure I might start a little thread, with a few updates and what not.

I picked the car up exactly 9 days ago. And.. well.. this is what it looks like now..

A task for tonight..

Commiting to roadster driving. 20kg un-needed in that hell of a soft top and frame. May as well get it out.

If anyone is after one, please let me know. A little bit of $ and it's theirs!

Still need to edit my damn sig.

Also - cage/rollbar/halfcage/doorbars are all going in next week! So a bit of weight will be gained there, but nothing more cutting won't sort out.

I hope.

I still have an ABS unit to delete, but that won't be for a while as I will need to run new brake lines, so whilst I'm there I might as well run some braided lines. Just cause.

Oh yeah - got the roll bar out.

Fucking pain in the ass to remove. So that's for sale too. Not asking too much.

Radiator should get here tomorrow, I hope. I am ordering some new sparkplugs, and an oil filter today to get ready for the weigh day!

Unfortunately, weigh day will be pre roll bar/cage.

Harlan already has dibs on the drivers side, however from what I can see you can swap the drivers/passenger seat from rail to rail.\

So I only have one left.

Just purchased some oil, oil filter, plugs, coolant, I'm actually going to do my best to see what this motor is capable of in stock form

Radiator arrived today, it's a beast 53mm of pure coolness.

Will be spraying it with a light coat of black to enhance the cooling efficiency.
Mounting will be the er..... fun(?) part...

Phew! Took the alarm out, removed the factory radiator, drained oil, and removed filter, and a few bits of misc wiring.

Racing, just fun, not entering a class YET.

Now... Tonight I get the fun task of setting up the new radiator, good timing as the old radiator hoses were phucked.

I will grab some pictures shortly for evidence, but holy hell. Swollen as a shore kid on roids.

Car wet weight, 840 (after you remove me from the equation)

Roll bar installation starts tomorrow, shaved the passenger mirror off entirely, once the cage is in, I will get measurements and pull finger on a Project G G string.

And the soft top will be gone for good.

There must be more weight to gut out if you wanted. Mine must be around 830-840 with a cage and we aren't allowed to go at the car with a hole saw or anything.
