10 days to go. Next weekend fast approaching. Anyone keen on committing at this stage. If we have some serious contenders we can organise between us so that we are all catered for in destination. Im happy to formulate a run if you guys are happy to tag along. I just need to know how long you are comfortable driving. I would go all day grinning like a cheshire cat but realise others are funds dependant. Dont be shy throw some ideas up here for all to see and comment.

I have been driving some fantastic back roads down this way lately.

As I had previously suggested we could see about going to visit MX5 Mart's new home and maybe Team Jelly's dyno?

We have had no feedback from any Aucklanders about this run except from Waikato members. Im keen to run with Fooesboy as the cruise organiser for this event. He has turned up in Auckland for the past 3 events all the way from Te Aroha. Im keen to run with the Waikato members this weekend. The meeting pointwill be at Kopu. From here Fooesboy is going to organise the run. This will probably be posted tomorrow or as soon as finalised. Hopefully Timmo will make the line up also. The plan is to meet at Kopu at 10.30am. We can meet at Bombay about 9.30 for the initial part of the cruise. Dont be shy. Make the effort and be part of this Forum. Its only as strong as our membership. Come on JAFFAS. Lets show the MOOLOOS how strong our commitment is.

OK guys,

I have mapped out a great run covering 240km and should take about 3 1/2 hours driving time from Kopu, through to Tauranga and back to Te Aroha mostly along back roads and along a few that I have not yet driven.

As GRUVBB has said we are meeting at the pub at Kopu at 10:30am on Saturday the 21st (yes this Saturday)

You will need to bring a full tank of gas and a sense of humour!

Either harden Up or start thinking up your feeble excuses. The day is almost upon us so Im expecting some piss poor ones to start coming out. I'll be there representing Auckland...... Dont bother posted up excuses to us cause we will be there having a great time. Take the time to write a message to yourselves and apologise to yourselves because YOU will be the only person missing out on a great day out socialising with fellow Forum Members. Its a great sight to see a long line of MX5's blatting along in convoy.

No wonder people are so reluctant to take part on this forum if people are happy to post a crap response to someone pointing out their opinion's.

I have often watched the post's on here but thought why bother getting involved due to the shit that seems to fly around.

Perhaps their would be a stronger MX5 group in Akl if people were not so quick to judge and use the sort of language and attitude that I have seen in some post's on here

Don't get me wrong I'm coming along, planning on going roofless too. Just can't help but think about how much more gas my turbo uses :P

No the only thing I can't participate in, is long periods of spirited driving as my brakes aren't up to the task, I don't think I'd be impressing anyone by using them to stop after 5 minutes of it

Dont get me wrong either....... My comment was Generic. It just happens that it was directly after SKILFUL post. If I was commenting directly at his post i would have hit the quote function to highlight his text which I did not....I have organised a few runs and witnessed the small turn outs. It is tongue in cheek for if your not there then you are the one who will be missing out on the fun. It was not directed at any individuals in particular. Sorry if any of you took it the wrong way.
I also thought that the arranged date as previous in the posts was for Sunday 22 so that the folks who work Saturdays could make it easier????? This would also allow an extra day for the pit crews to fix up their rides in time for the run.

Chris don't start :) "flyforfun" I,m sorry but I don't agree with you. This is by far the best forum I have ever been involved with.

Try the Miata turbo forum if you think this is bad.

We are all big boys and girls here and all the people are NEVER going to agree, life would be boring if we did.

I think you will find that if you do post more things (and positive ones ) you will get positive replies.

Trust me we are a good bunch of people just here to help each other out so please get involved.

:D

CLARIFICATION TIME!!!!! There has been a small misunderstanding on days..... Yes, we had been planning on sunday 22nd. First day after shortest day...... What day suits you? The members of this discussion. Poll your preferred day. Fooesboy will be posting the roads up tonight and we will CONFIRM the run also tonight.
An AK meet is a great idea. Im leaving from out west and think a BOMBAY bp is prob the most suitable. This is good for Pukekohe members etc. We all know how to get there. The meet time there will, also be posted tonight.
