I think some of the reviews are a bit over the top; it won't turn your car into a magical gear-shifting unicorn...
I... take that back. After actually getting used to it and spending some time driving it hard it is 100% glitter-covered rainbow-magic gear shifting unicorn. It would be hard to go back.

So thanks to my good man Jose I got to weigh my car. Not bad without me at 975Kg(With 35L of fuel, helmet and a couple tools) and borderline perfect weight balance but also found out Im just over 90Kg which isnt so great...

My last one had the intake cam out of a turbo familia in it. That went pretty well.

Finally got around to giving it a good wash and wax, some of the water marks were really getting to me, though wish I had the money to get it re-painted, love the colour, but stone chips!

I'm quite happy with the result though, next is to take the headlights out and restore them, but that can wait for another day. It is now beer o'clock.

Fire up the hole saw and angle grinder, plenty of weight to get out of it haha.
Mine is 960kgs with me/race gear in it and a near full tank of gas. 840kgs without me.

What have you done to get it down that far? Also how did it effect the weight balance and do you have a full cage?

Im a little reluctant to cut or remove to much as drifting is a contact sport and things like the heavy bumper supports have been left in so hitting things isnt an issue

Its got 50/50 cross weights. Full cage. No top or any of the mountings. Light weight racetech seat.
Because there is a high level of pushing and bump drafting in our racing all the bumper supports remain.
Anything that can be removed inside has been. Stereo support brackets in the dash. Intrusion bars in the doors(cage has bars and doors are cheap). Soft close shit in the doors. Side windows and mechanisms. Moved battery forward and installed one 1/10th the weight of factory. Striped the wiring loom. Made the exhaust out of thin wall tubing. Heaps of other small things.

Spotweld drill bit and a grinder is all you need

Finished the lense [black silicon was a bad idea to glue it on so should have used translucent for a better finished look!] & fitted some side stripes. All I need now is a WOF & rego for my next drive to the track.

Right. Big progress. Thanks to the brother in law for his rattle gun.

All suspension out, all suspension apart, ready to prep for paint. Not going to deloom until the new motor is in and running - I figure one dumb move at a time. Started putting the accessories on the motor too. Starter and an engine mount so far. Hardest part is torque tolerances and finding the right nuts and bolts.

Updates in 3 consecutive days. This car may just live!

Bay is ready for paint. There will be no more updates until the paint is done. I want a dramatic before and after. Most of the paint is fine and I just scotch brighted it, a few bits I took back to bare metal as they were a tad rough. Car has minor frontal damage. Will pull it out when I put in the steel bumper bar in a few weeks.

Steel bumper bar? Why? Its just extra weight. The fronts of these cars can take a solid pummeling to the bumper and not show damage due to that large plastic thing behind the bumper.

Finally got myself a set of watanabes.
Oddly enough, they're the real deal. 15"x6.5" +34.

Love those Wats 4AGE, they match the BRG perfectly.

I'm sure Furai is proud.

I painted my tires this weekend to see how it would look:

I kinda like it, but my mind isn't made up if I'll keep it or not
