Thanks Sprsta.... I have sanded back some peeling clear coat and will be touching up the paint. ....... If any one is interested in touch up spray cans i have rung around a few places getting prices. The cheapest i found which are easy access for me is Auto Industrial Supplies.... 277 Nielson St Onehunga..... $32 each. Colourworks wanted $56 each and a further $25 if they had to match the colour. Others were around the $40 mark..... Grayson Paint Supplies were next cheapest at $35.....im not sure how much the clear coat is as I already have some. Will check when i pick upmy cans later in week. Hopethis is of interest to some who whish togo down this track.

What is th reason for this? I have white and blue as well. I assume that these will need clear coat. I have got some for it anyway.

Most (all?) of the first gen MX5 paints were single stage, no clear coat.

My car has had clear coat apllied over its custom paint job. It was peeling badly in places. Sanded it back and sprayed some red and blue on today. The blue is slightly lighter in shade so not sure what ill do about that just yet. Will do white stripes tomorrow and think about the blue a bit longer. Its looking heaps better than it was so Im pretty happy with results so far. ... Wish i had a shed to do painting in. Was pretty windy today so had to finish early.
Got a new Garnish coming from MAZLINE. Brownie has helped me out with a replacement. I recommend using his services. He is super friendly and extra helpful. CHEERS Brownie!!! :D
