Driveshft loop

Post by warrior » Tue Oct 15, 2013 3:54 pm

I am trying to get my supercharged mx5 ready to comply and need a driveshaft loop. Does anyone know what I need? Size etc? Or does anyone have one on there car I could come and have a look at?

I will try and make my own just to keep the costs down.

pretty sure its 50mmx5mm flat bar. its pretty cheap even in a 4 meter length. many guys have just bolted it to the PPF frame..there were some pics on here a while back of one installed...
interestingly mine was certed without one.

Just shipped my MX-5 off to Tauranga today to get work done - he's getting his engineer to make me one at cost ($100 installed)

Here is a pic of mine and you need four bolts of shaft diameter of 10mm which can be either 14mm or 17mm socket head.

There is a forum member on here that runs a van rental place over the shore that has fitted a oxg sensor for me before, does anyone have his name and number?

The reason I ask is I need to fit a driveshaft loop to my car before it can be complied and I just don't have the time to do it so was hoping he would/ could do it as a job.

If anyone has his details or would be able to do this themselves for me please let me know.

Yeah they are on trade me for $59.00, just a bit worried about the size as I think they are made for V,8,S.
