Roll bar padding

I have just bought a four point roll bar that I will be using for track days etc. I want to put a bit of padding on it do I don't take my head off if it hits it.

Ideas on what to use appox cost and the best place to get it please

2 cheap options just off the top of my head are:

a) pool noodles

b) copper pipe lagging

both are available at your local hardware store

Para Rubber do a foam tube (bit like noodle material but black).
Comes with different ID hole - 20, 25, 32mm - but with same wall thickness 15mm.
The biggest one won't fit all the way round a roll bar tube, but is much less bulky than the proprietary roll bar padding and much cheaper.

Cardwells, about $8 a length. Pool noodles wont pass a cert if you go for one.

Yeah, I've still got a shitload of that foam padding from Cardwells. It's quite thick stuff - I'd go with a flatter/more compact foam if possible.

theres two thicknesses, one is FIA spec and much thicker, the other isnt as thick but will pass cert/msnz
