Tightening loose wing mirrors???

Post by GRUVBB » Sun Sep 29, 2013 11:15 am

Does anyone have a tip on how to tighten loose door mirrors please? I have one that droops if it gets knocked slightly. Wind pressure doesnot affect it .... YET. Would love to be able to repair rather than replace. :?:

Coming from a girl, you can have confidence in knowing that its an easy (but painful) job. I superglued my mirror surround back onto the mirror because it kept coming loose. Be careful with the black surround - it cracks really easy!

You may find that you need a new spring as well if the old one has rusted badly. I have just been going through this with mine. Will post some pics later if you want.
